Our Ranch

Here in Texas, there are cowboys who dress the part but have never been on a horse.  We like to say these cowboys are “all hat and no cattle.”  Do you have enough cattle to go with your hat?  Do we?  We’re not sure, but we’re going to think and talk about business, workplace, and career issues with the hope that doing so will help you, and us, round up a few more steers.

So, whether you are sitting comfortably in the executive suite, aspiring to do so, or launching a start-up to make your fortune, take a few minutes to gather around the campfire, listen to some stories, and ruminate on things that affect us all.  You don’t have to agree with us; what the heck do we know?  But hopefully we’ll get ya thinkin’, and you might even hear something useful.  Even a broken clock is right twice a day, right?

Give us your thoughts in the comments section below each show.  Especially the ones that tell us how handsome, rugged, clever and witty we are.  If you’re the strong, silent type, just give us a respectful and friendly nod by typing “cattle” or a squinty-eyed glare by typing “hat.”  In our lexicon “cattle” means you found something meaningful or useful.  “Hat” means you didn’t.

Studying, reading and action are the main paths to having substance, but sometimes it helps to cogitate a bit on it all with some friends.  So join us, become one of our amigos, and help us figure it all out.  Don’t let anybody say YOU are “all hat and no cattle!”  Saddle up your horse and let’s round up and lasso some cattle!  Yee-hah!
